Vogue's Fashion Night Out Hits Manchester

Hello lovelies!!! Its the weekend!!!
Hope you're all having a delightful weekend whatever it is you are all doing!

This post is dedicated to all things Vogue!! As you all know, Vogues Fashion Night Out was held in Manchester this year (echoing screams from me when I was told the news!) & it was no less amazing than I had anticipated if not better!!! I couldn't decide on an outfit for the eve and after spending the day earlier in work, surrounded by a bunch of equally eager fashion beavers I decided to keep it simple and transition my day outfit to the night!! I kept it black and although the jeans in the above picture were an attempt to show my denim love (coming from Selfridges after all it seemed only fair!) I swapped to my trusty black H&M leather pants which you can see further down!! The night was hectic and there was something worth attending all over the city, it was so nice to see every store go to a huge effort for the nights festivities. Vogue brought with it an electric energy to the city which has me already counting down until next year, fingers crossed and if sources are correct, it will most likely be returning to the Northern lights rather than sticking down south!!

After work I ran over to Harvey Nichols to meet up with the rest of the La Vida team. As excited as I was for the events there was a lot of interviews and press events which had to be covered first!! Harvey Nichols welcomed us with cute little designer and celebrity huts which housed Nicole Farhi, Oliver Proudlock and Jamie Lang to name just a few with the designers personally customising our very own VFNO t-shirts to take home. I loved this as it gave us an opportunity to see designers really getting involved and truly bringing world class fashion to the north. As amazing as this was, food is not to be forgotten and every store went to huge efforts to bring all sorts of delectable treats to us including endless pick and mix buckets, american style hot dog stands, candy floss bars and not to mention the complimentary champagne which was flowing from every floor!
Never one to complain for free champagne! (how convenient - this rhymes, might make it my motto?!)

Selfridges, Topshop, Harvey Nichols, Hugo Boss, Gap, Bank, and Burberry; the list is endless as which stores participated in the yearly extravaganza and as much as I loved every part of it, work came first and luckily it meant I had the pleasure and honour of interviewing and meeting THE Emily Sheffield, Deputy Editor of Vogue!!!!!! She was incredibly nice and it was inspiring to meet someone so passionate about not just having Vogue head north but also have such a love for all things Northern. We met up with her at the Vivienne Westwood store on Thursday and the interview will be being posted very very soon on the La Vida site so please make sure you go check it out!!!

All in all the night was a huge success, designers, celebrities, brands and most importantly us northern folk all coming together to showcase fashion! One of my favourite things about it all had to be the outfit spotting, a huge effort was made by all and I think its so important to remind the rest of the world that London is not the only fashion capital! I personally think the city needs to watch its back! :)

Until next year!!!
