Jumpers Aren't Just for Christmas

Evening lovelies!!!

Its one sleep until the Friday feeling can well and truly be appreciated! Hope you all have some exciting things planned!! Sorry for the delay but this outfit was from last Friday when our friend had a surprise party for his girlfriend!! My first and definitely not my last surprise party, cant believe I hadnt been to one until now seen as I absolutely love love love surprises!! Who doesnt?
My obsession with jumpers isnt a day only affair, I love jumpers to transition into night as they can tone down the dressiness of any outfit, especially in this chilly winter weather, strutting out in a teeny tiny dress is not comfortable for anyone!!! So I paired this jumper with a shiny pastel Topshop skirt which I grabbed in the sales last Christmas not anticipating it would be considered on trend this Autumn Winter also! Buying an item which follows through into another season is always a celebratory moment for me as I HATE wasting clothes, I am slowly learning my lesson and investing in pieces which will follow through season after season after season!!! Unfortunately that often means better quality which = more expensive, so the frequency of my purchases are reducing!!! But all for the right reasons I guess? That being said - this jumper was an incredible find, 20% angora and only 19.99 from H&M!!!! Investment piece that doesnt break the bank! Another celebratory worthy moment!! Woohooo!! For those as jumper obsessed as me then definitely head over to H&M I was really impressed with their selection!

Whats your favourite transitional piece into Winter?

Green With Envy

Green With Envy

Evening lovelies!!

Hope your Monday wasn't too painful! To say I hopped straight into bed as soon as I got home from work says everything about my day, not to mention I didnt get home until 9.30!!! Anywho - this post is green with envy as I have recently developed an obsession with all things emerald. I spied this coat in work, and although we have a similar one in a shade of black, this Topshop green version is much more wallet friendly and the oversized boyfriend style makes it so easy to throw on with any outfit, day or night. This boyfriend obsession seems to be everywhere, whether its a pink equivalent of the above or even jeans styled straight out of your fellas wardrobe, its effortlessly easy chic, especially loved by me as I love to find pieces which are transitional from day to night by making only a few changes. Throwing a pair of heels on and swapping the ripped denim for a leather skirt would make this outfit totally wearable for Friday night cocktail hour.
I have had my eye on these boots for a while now and the camel striped tee is a reminder of how I MUST get some more pieces similar to this in my wardrobe. Stripes have the ability to spruce up an outfit even if just paired with skinny jeans and boots like the above - not quite sure how they manage to do so but theyre a staple item which you can never have enough of!
With the addition of my new Chanel Boy, it was hard to ignore the incredibleness of the one above!!! Pretty sure I haven't taken mine off since I got it!!!! So now there are two special Boys in my life and I think Tom's surprisingly happy to share me, not that there would be another option anyways!

Christmas Wishlist, First Of Many

Christmas Wishlist One

With Christmas looming it's hard not to ponder over what it is you exactly want. Before my mum asked me what I wanted I spent hours racking my brains as to what exactly, if anything, I wanted. When you're forced to think of what you want it always seems so hard to come up with things and in a way I like it because it makes me realise how lucky I am and how wanting things is so different to 'needing' things. I don't need anything! Nor do any of you reading this, most likely! Christmas to me is family time and being with the ones you love! The gifts are nice extras and don't get me wrong compiling lists like the above are fun, but it's not what Christmas is for. That being said - those of you reading this who are convinced you just NEED those Kurt Geiger strike boots or to die for gold rings - then here's some inspiration!

Happy Thursday. & Happy shopping!!!!

Boots-Kurt Geiger Strike
Rings - Thomas Sabo

Book - Vogue On Coco Chanel
Bag - Zara

Home
I LOVE interiors, I am always Pinteresting and searching for inspiring ways to dress up my home. My recent obsession is with candles, I cant seem to get enough of decorating the flat in smelly vanilla treats. Heaven forbid what the flat is going to be like soon enough with Christmas just round the corner, I am already counting down the minutes until a Christmas tree arrives but thats another story! If theres florals, bright prints or OTT chandeliers I am happy!!! I love our apartment but I love to spruce it up and spring clean from time to time, I'm fairly fickle at the best of times so I like change. Giving your apartment a burst of freshness can be done easily, you don't need to blow the budget, fit an entirely new kitchen or refurnish the whole place. Little things like new books for the coffee table or candles or decorative trinkets can do wonders. I recently made a photograph wall from a canvas, fabric and heaps of photos. Its really simple to make and can lift a room whilst adding a personal touch!!

Talking of personal - check out Etsy for individually designed interior gifts, perfect for Christmas and made lovingly by my parents! :)

Hope you're all having an amazing week!!

Some Wee Scottish Tartan

Morning lovelies!!!

I have been hiding for a week and apologies but it was all for a good cause which I can finally tell you all about it!!! I got a new job!! A grad job!! And those who have graduated will most likely know how strenuous, time consuming and frustrating, finding a graduate job can be so I was an extremely happy little bouncing bunny when I found out the news late last week!! I will be working for a company called the Hut Group who have online retailers like Coggles, MyBag and The Hut amongst others so make sure you go on and check them all out as they're amazing brands!!!
How has everyones week been!? In other exciting news - ZARA IS BACK THIS WEEK!! If you live in or near Manchester you will be well aware that Zara has been closed for far far too long now and finally I can reveal that Thursday is the big launch party!!! I will document it more closely than anyone will ever attempt as I am ridiculously excited to see what the new concept store looks like. If it is anything like the London store and after sneaking a little look behind the gaps in the Manchester doors it's going to be incredible, not to mention ANOTHER floor of goodies on top of the three we had already! Can you sense my excitement? It's hard to control it!!!

In celebration of Zara launching again I have uploaded a couple more holiday snaps as I am in love with this tartan cami with lace back. It is so versatile and perfect to layer over in the winter months.
For those who use Depop I have just started uploading pieces from my wardrobe which deserve a better home so go check it out!!! For those who dont know what it is I call it an Instagram eBay, its super easy to use and safe as well if you integrate it with your paypal. Let me know if you guys use it!!!

Animal Leathers

Top/Topshop, Shorts/Zara, Shoes/NewLook, Necklace/H&M, Bag/Zara

Happy Monday lovelies!! Hope you've all had a great start to the week!!
Another holiday post here - but what a delightful animal print inspired one it is!! I spied this cami in work and knew for £24 I just HAD to snap it up for the Turkish sun! I love the print and think its deceiving in its quality, looking an expensive basic, and paired perfectly with these leather shorts from Zara. I picked up the shoes from New Look right before we left as I was lacking in sandals during the winter months and needed a black alternative to the gold pair I had. Trusty New Look came through for me! I tried to stay away from buying a pair in panic, knowing I would never wear them again and I think I definitely succeeded, I saw this style everywhere this summer and will most likely see them again next summer!! Hoooorah for a responsible purchase! I feel like every time I stop myself from making a hasty, useless fashion purchase I deserve a gold star!!! It takes a lot of persuasion from my angelic side to ignore the devilish opposite tempting me to buy those killer heels in a garish colour which I will most likely throw in my wardrobe never to see light again!! I stayed strong on this occasion!
How has everyones day been!? Mine's been pretty stressful but fingers crossed good things to come! Will be able to fill you in soon enough!!! :)

Holiday Blues in H&M

Dress/H&M, Shoes/Schuh, Jacket/Zara, Bag/H&M

I fell in love with this Isabel Marant inspired dress and whats even better was that it was perched happily waiting for me on the sale rail as I strolled into H&M on my lunch, not expecting to find such a juicy bargain I had to bag this little beauty! Its so easy to just throw on and the pockets are an added bonus. It would also make a great beach dress or even look fab with heels - the dress screams versatility hey?
This was of course another holiday get up, and this night we enjoyed an amazing dinner at a restaurant recommended to us before we got there called Love Boat in Icemeler. Now I know what you're thinking, the cheesy name does not suggest the finest of dining however dont let it fool you!! The food was incredible and the service was even better, they had a way of making things happen without uttering a word to each other, like a performance rehearsed to a T! I ordered mixed fajitas and Tom did the manly thing and ordered a steak!! The fajitas were so good we ordered them a second time when we returned! YES we really did go back a second time for some last night holiday love boat loving!!! Definitely go go go if you are ever in the area, likely I know!

& how could this meal end any better for me?

Good night lovelies, dont forget to follow with Bloglovin & GFC :)

Casa & Blanca Boutique Hotel Turkey

 Hello lovelies!

Sorry I have been slightly AWOL recently but I went away for a week the boy to Turkey for some much needed sun and relaxation and just got back yesterday!!! It was both of our first times to Icemeler, Turkey and the hotel we stayed at I couldn't recommend more (Casa Blanca Boutique Hotel)! Consider this a mini hotel review and outfit post :).
We were nervous as always that with last minute deals the pictures are never as they seem when you get there but we couldn't have been more impressed, the hotel was modern and most importantly the sun loungers were the most comfortable things ever!!!

All in all our first holiday together couldnt have been better, the weather was in the 30s most days (bar one thunder storm moment), our hotel was perfect and it went without any glitches! Would I return to Turkey again? I cant say I would be rushing back unless it was to this hotel! The country itself is stunning however the area we went to seemed to be over run by british home comforts, when I go away I love to see new cultures and we didnt really get this! I would 100% recommend this hotel for a relaxing, romantic jolly with your boy though, so anyone wanting some late winter sun, seriously head here!!!!

This was my outfit from the first night so forgive my pale self. I am obsessed with these crochet shorts which I purchased last summer from H&M and they have proven incredible handy particularly for summer festivals!!
Apologies to those wishing for some sun in this autumn rain as the next few posts will be holiday related outfits! Promise I will return to winter woolies in a week or so!!!

Vogue's Fashion Night Out Hits Manchester

Hello lovelies!!! Its the weekend!!!
Hope you're all having a delightful weekend whatever it is you are all doing!

This post is dedicated to all things Vogue!! As you all know, Vogues Fashion Night Out was held in Manchester this year (echoing screams from me when I was told the news!) & it was no less amazing than I had anticipated if not better!!! I couldn't decide on an outfit for the eve and after spending the day earlier in work, surrounded by a bunch of equally eager fashion beavers I decided to keep it simple and transition my day outfit to the night!! I kept it black and although the jeans in the above picture were an attempt to show my denim love (coming from Selfridges after all it seemed only fair!) I swapped to my trusty black H&M leather pants which you can see further down!! The night was hectic and there was something worth attending all over the city, it was so nice to see every store go to a huge effort for the nights festivities. Vogue brought with it an electric energy to the city which has me already counting down until next year, fingers crossed and if sources are correct, it will most likely be returning to the Northern lights rather than sticking down south!!

After work I ran over to Harvey Nichols to meet up with the rest of the La Vida team. As excited as I was for the events there was a lot of interviews and press events which had to be covered first!! Harvey Nichols welcomed us with cute little designer and celebrity huts which housed Nicole Farhi, Oliver Proudlock and Jamie Lang to name just a few with the designers personally customising our very own VFNO t-shirts to take home. I loved this as it gave us an opportunity to see designers really getting involved and truly bringing world class fashion to the north. As amazing as this was, food is not to be forgotten and every store went to huge efforts to bring all sorts of delectable treats to us including endless pick and mix buckets, american style hot dog stands, candy floss bars and not to mention the complimentary champagne which was flowing from every floor!
Never one to complain for free champagne! (how convenient - this rhymes, might make it my motto?!)

Selfridges, Topshop, Harvey Nichols, Hugo Boss, Gap, Bank, and Burberry; the list is endless as which stores participated in the yearly extravaganza and as much as I loved every part of it, work came first and luckily it meant I had the pleasure and honour of interviewing and meeting THE Emily Sheffield, Deputy Editor of Vogue!!!!!! She was incredibly nice and it was inspiring to meet someone so passionate about not just having Vogue head north but also have such a love for all things Northern. We met up with her at the Vivienne Westwood store on Thursday and the interview will be being posted very very soon on the La Vida site so please make sure you go check it out!!!

All in all the night was a huge success, designers, celebrities, brands and most importantly us northern folk all coming together to showcase fashion! One of my favourite things about it all had to be the outfit spotting, a huge effort was made by all and I think its so important to remind the rest of the world that London is not the only fashion capital! I personally think the city needs to watch its back! :)

Until next year!!!
