Neon Neediness

Apologies for the delay in posting recently but Graduation seemed to take up much more time than just the day it was celebrated on, combined with work and getting home at ungodly hours (not to sound like one of those annoying people who try make out they are far busier than they actually are - thats not my intention!!).
So we celebrated my birthday this weekend and what better (and only) way to celebrate your birthday than with a bright neon green bodycon dress. Girls surely can relate to this and although it (surprisingly) took some serious persuading by loved ones for me to wear this I definitely enjoyed my final decision. I wouldn't usually run towards this colour, I think my fair skinned, blonde haired self would consider it overpowering but with me going slightly darker last week hair wise I took the plunge. The shoes are the one and only incredible-ness that is Zara. This style seems to have become their logo of late, with them effortlessly making so many incredible 90's inspired options which resemble this pair above. All I ask is that you never stop producing such a heavenly shoe Zara. Please!!!
For me its important to let a dress like this shine, with little distractions, so I kept the shoes and jewellery to a minimum - which I believe should be the norm for most if not all outfit choices.

On another note - as fab as the shoes are - I dont encourage them for those wanting high levels of comfort, only to be worn for very short periods of time. They are the reason my night lasted half the length it should have!

Calling All Denim Lovers to Selfridges

Denim has always reminded me of the 90's. Scrunchies, Saved by the Bell and dungarees. As much as I love all those things I haven't been able to shake the association of denim with my childhood, therefore every time I rock denim I end up feeling like a little kid. Not a desirable look I often go for. However thanks to Selfridges new denim studio they have for the next 6 weeks in store I am rekindling my love for blue jeans. Even better I am finding ways to pair denim, with denim!! For me this is a big deal, the thought scares me and I would always run in the opposite direction if anyone suggested such a thing but denim really CAN be worn along side more denim! Who'd have thunk it? I have found the process a lot easier if the fabrics and textures you pair together are different.
These amazing denim effect trousers from Maje make the studded denim Sandro jacket stand out that much more, not to mention the trousers are probably the comfiest things I have ever worn, granted they are 100% silk but everyone should own a pair of these. If the denim is too much they're available in soft pastels which are equally as amazing and perfect for this Summer.

The heels have been my obsession for a good 6 months in work and seeing them every day is too painful considering I just can't part with £300 but I think you'll all agree they are incredible? (For those interested my birthday is fast approaching and I can appreciate how hard it must be to think of ideas... ;))

Jourdan Dunn and Rosie Tapner front the #denimlovers campaign.

With special model size burgers.

Designers such as Marni have created exclusive denim pieces for the number one department store. Along side 7 for all Mankind, Citizens of Humanity and Hudson.

Candice Swanepoel. My second favourite Victoria's Secret model (those who know me are aware of my uncontrollable crush on Doutzen). But these new photos of her rocking a brunette do for Blumarine are threatening her ranks. I can't help but think she looks so much better blonde but that being said, if I could look half as good as her with dark locks I would be a very happy girl.

I think the photo below proves my point! I still loveeeee yah though!!!

Bellisimo

It's called Sunday Funday for a reason and this weekend lived true to its name. It was only fair that I stayed faithful to two of my loves and combined brights and shorts with this outfit. Luckily the sun was shining otherwise I think I would have looked a little too 'I'm not on holiday but I am desperately wanting to be' in this get up.
